Hi! I’m Lisa, seamstress, owner, photographer, marketing department and social media creator here at MBP!
I fell in love with handmade when I joined another small business as a brand rep following a tester call. I then started making a few items for my own children when I realised the fabrics we liked were not offered elsewhere. I enjoyed it so much I began doing piecework for other small businesses. After sewing for others for 18 months I felt confident enough to branch out on my own and My Brave Pearl was born! It is named after my 2 amazing children - Maisie (which means Pearl) and Archie (which means Brave)
I still try to find fabrics that you can’t find on the high street. Bright, colourful clothing for all ages. I try not to genderise here, our adults clothing is only separated into fit. Curve for a more curvy silhouette ⏳ and straight for a less defined waist. []. We also have the In B-Tween collection for those teens and tweens branching out into the more grown up clothing. Daddy MBP is the postman for the business! He is also the childcare along with Nanny and Grandad! Granny and Grandad are social media serial likers too. We also have Missy the Cat. Her job is to stay out of the workshop! Which she does very well. And finally I have an amazing rep team who shout about MBP and have wardrobes full. I am grateful to each and every one ❤️
